TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
The Company
1. City of
London Black Taxis is a Private Limited Company Registered in England and
Wales.
2. City of
London Black Taxis strictly operates on a pre-arranged hourly rate policy and
therefore do not provide a "metered" rate for any occasion.
3. As a
Member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen for Quality and Service; City of London
Black Taxis endeavour to provide the highest possible standards for our clients
at all times.
Vehicle Hire
4. Hire
rates as stated on City of London Black Taxis website are both current, correct
and non negotiable. Details of any special offers and discounts are outlined on
the 'site' and remain as stated.
5. All
vehicles are fully valeted prior to event hire to ensure the utmost in client
satisfaction. City of London Black Taxis cannot be held responsible for any
change in vehicular appearance on route caused by weather or terrain during the
period of hire.
6. All
vehicles are strictly non smoking.
7. The
consumption of food is not permitted throughout the hire duration in any
reserved taxi carriage our for Routemaster bus hire.
8. Beverages
such as champagne or mineral water may be offered as part of our bridal or corporate package which will be stated accordingly on all booking confirmation documents.
9. City of
London Black Taxis can also willingly source Champagne or soft drinks for Routemaster Bus
hire at an additional cost.
10. Onboard beverages for Routemaster Bus hire
which must be consumed from plastic flutes or 'minis' only for safety aspects.
11. Drivers
of all vehicles hired and provided by City of London Black Taxis are fully
qualified and highly professional. Driving staff will always endeavour to take
the most appropriate route for all journeys but cannot be held responsible for
adverse traffic conditions, road closures or other events beyond our control.
Booking and Confirmation
12.
Schedules, timings and length of service by the hour will be clearly outlined
and confirmed in your full confirmation and personal itinerary documentation.
Drivers and other event staff cannot be held responsible for late venue arrival
should our clients not be ready to depart at the time stated in your personal
confirmation.
13.
Reservations of all vehicles are only guaranteed after cleared funds of a 20%
deposit in the case of bridal reservations and 50% deposit for corporate,
television, film and photographic reservations.
14.
Reservations held without a cleared deposit are deemed as provisional only and
therefore your chosen vehicle/s are neither confirmed nor guaranteed for your
requested date or time frame.
15.
Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 21 days from the date of
initial enquiry.
16. Time
frames and length of service are clearly outlined in our confirmation
documentation. Any amendment to the confirmed itinerary or additional
instructions will incur additional costs.
17. Any time
over and above a 15 minute extended hire period will be considered as an
additional hour’s hire and charged on a full hourly rate accordingly.
18. In the
event of cancellation by the hirer, City of London Black Taxis must be notified
in writing. Booking cancellation results in the forfeit of any deposit paid. If
cancelled less than 7 days prior to the date of hire; the full balance will
also be forfeited.
Payment
19. A deposit
is kindly requested in order to guarantee your reservation. Acting as a
guarantee this deposit is neither refundable nor transferable.
20. City of
London Black Taxis do not accept cash or any payment method on the date of hire and
operate only on a pre-booked, pre-paid service.
21. Payment
methods include all major credit and debit cards, personal cheque or BACS
transfer.
22.
Remaining balance for all wedding hire is required not later than 10 days prior
to the date of hire. In the case of personal cheque payment, funds must be
fully cleared prior to hire commencement.
23. Balance
payments for larger corporate reservations may also
be paid within 10 days of event date via purchase order to be
agreed during the reservation process.
24. Should
full payment or agreed purchase order receipt, have not been received
prior to the date of hire, City of London Black Taxis reserve the right to
refuse collection and transfer of our clients.
25. On
receipt of cleared deposit funds, the hirer accepts full and unconditional
acceptance of the terms and conditions of City of London Black Taxis.
